Links and Fun Stuff
The Links Page (websites used to have them)
How about some fun links?
Still bored? Do you want to play a game? How about a game called Train your Tyrant?
Go ahead and use Google for search. But search for things that you would never, ever purchase.
Be creative and search often. See how long it takes the smarty-pants algorithm to start throwing ads for them at you. If you still have a
(hopefully unused now) tech-giant email account, send an email or two asking a dear fictious friend if you should buy brand X or brand Y of something.
Something you would never, ever buy. Pretend you are James Bond, a Saudi prince, an oil tycon, a world famous entomologist, or a housewife looking for the
perfect decor for the home. Search for the stuff they would want to buy. Take big tech along for the ride and see how soon they will play along. After a few months,
go to the cookies of the browser and just delete anything that has Google next to it. And start searching for goofy stuff again. If you used
Firefox last time, use Brave this time just to be more confusing.
Still bored without big tech dominating your life? Pick one of the following:
- Play a board game with your kids
- Subscribe to a printed magazine
- Next time something breaks, see if it can be repaired
